We are on to have a tailgate at Midtown Terrace on Saturday March 24th to provide lunch to the veterans residing at that US Vet’s facility. We have three cooking groups committed as follows:

Lake Management – New to cooking at Tailgate with a Hero! Welcome guys! BBQ chicken with sides.

Our old friends from First Baptist Church of Navasota / Texas Cook Out Company. We have missed Roger Douglas and his buddies so it is great to have them back to cook a fish fry!

Mission Bend UMC – Mr. Tailgate himself Ray Condron and pals. Steaks and twice baked potato casserole. Mr. Jorge DeLaRosa will also be bringing the Costello grill to help flip steaks.

We will be serving a total of about 500 meals starting at noon that day. There are several opportunities still available:

1. Dessert for 500! Whatever you want to do. We can also pick up stuff at Sam’s or Restaurant Depot but need someone to take charge of this please.

2. Water bottles and ice. Need maybe 700 water bottles or so. Need someone with a young back and a pick-up truck.

3. People to help plate and serve the meals.

Should be a good time. More to follow.
